Good venue for a pint and a gig. Small, rough place, that's exactly what you need on Friday's night!

Cool spot with quite a unique scene for open mic night (Monday). Bar is dimly lit with pretty casual vibes. Bartender was friendly while serving delicious beer. No complaints.

Best bar in Edinburgh, specially for a monday, when they have open mic night and sometimes some amazing artists perform. If you are looking for something posh this is not your place, if you are looking for a cool weird vibe then this is your best choice.

just saw 3 excellent local bands. Staff very friendly, atmosphere brilliant.

Really good venue for live music just been to their "rockin for west papua" night with the whpipet beans band perrorming.... far to hot tho after jumping around for 90 mins! ! xx

Great venue for a small band in your face encounter! Friendly atmosphere, been coming here for years now!

Super fun and community-oriented open mic on Mondays. Also plenty of genuinely impressive acts.

It's a total dive, but it all works. The open mike night is as random as you could expect. On the same night we had a surly accordian musician, some German poetry, Schubert, beatboxing, a local band, and a keyboard/cello duet playing hypnotic electronic music. Awesome.
